A Climate for Conflict comes to Photoville

New York! Please join us at Photoville this Sept 13-17 & 21-24 and stop by our container, A Climate for Conflict, which features my images and short film with Laura Heaton from the front lines of Africa's battle with climate change.

On Saturday, September 16 please join myself, Laura Heaton and Charlie Sennott from 3PM – 4PM in St. Ann’s Warehouse for a talk on how the major challenges of our time — migration, extremism, conflict over dwindling natural resources — have roots in climate change.

Please also make sure to check out the phenomenal Women Photograph container, Insider/Outsider, curated by Daniella Zalcman, Mallory Benedict and Sara Ickow. So glad to be able to contribute to this exhibit, alongside 36 phenomenal members of our database.

This is my first time getting to check out Photoville in person and have been so impressed by the diversity of work on display, and the fact that it's open to the public in such a phenomenal location. A huge thank you to Laura Roumanos and Sam Barzilay for making this magic happen, and for The GroundTruth Project so generously supporting this project from the very beginning.

Can't wait to see you there!

Women in Photography: 34 Voices From Around the World

Many thanks to TIME LightBox for including my work on this inspiring list of Women in Photography, and to the legend herself Susan White for the nomination. It's humbling to be listed alongside so many editors and photographers that I admire.

It's still a vastly unequal playing field in so many ways, but the camaraderie and mentorship of the photographers and editors from this piece and beyond (three cheers: Marie SumallaMarizilda CruppeAdriana ZehbrauskasBarbara DavidsonLynsey Addario) goes a long way towards making it less so.
